Neutral Everyday Makeup Routine

For anyone wondering how they can achieve neutral makeup look, here is what I do. In short, my my routine usually consists of sunscreen, foundation, blush, lip product, eyebrow filler and I recently added a translucent power. Here we go:

First things first. Apply sunscreen all over our face. I use Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch in SPF 30. I do not use a face lotion because this sunscreen is smooth and I feel it doubles as a lotion. Next, I add foundation on my hand and mix it with sunscreen. This sheers out the foundation a bit but also makes it easier to apply. My foundation is Tart amazon clay. Then I dot it on my face focusing on my T-zone, cheeks and chin. I grab the elf powder brush and smooth it out. Other times I don't even use a brush and just use my fingers. The choice is yours. After this step is done, I usually apply more foundation on areas that need more attention. You can call it, spot treatment!

(optional) The Translucent power is a step I recently added, but not necessary. Sometimes I even forge to put this on. However, when I use it, I use the Elf completion brush to grab some product and apply it all over my face, focusing on my t-zone. The translucent power I am using is NYC Smooth Skin Lose Face Power. Moving on...

To pluck out unwanted hairs, I use the Tweezerman. Its does a great job at getting the thickest and thinest hairs out. However, be very careful when using it, because it will rip your skin off if you accidentally grab skin instead of hair (lol). To fill in my eyebrow I use the BH Cosmetics Flawless Brow Trio in dark. I do like it because it comes with a brush that is usable (I use that little brush for this purpose only) and the colors match my brows well. Included in this trio is a dark, medium power and a wax. I don't use the wax. Should I?

The next stop is blush! Lately I have been enjoying using the Elf Blush palette in Dark. It has different hues of pink to choose from. I usually go with the bottom right color, the darkest looking one. Its the one I'm wearing on the picture below. Word of warning, you need to dip your brush on the product very lightly or you'll end up with to much on your brush and cheeks. We aren't going for a clown-look. Again, your choice. Now on to eyebrows...

Lastly, I will do my lips. I like to dab on chapstick before applying any color to my lips because I feel it preps them up and makes them smoother. At the moment I am really liking the lip liner by Prestige in L-26 KISS. Its a great neutral pop of color (like that oxymoron? lol.). Using this lipliner, I not only line my lips with it, I fill them in as well. Then I dab on more chapstick.

And that is the end. It doesn't take long to go through these steps and I think its a presentable look.
Hope you enjoyed learning about my routine! This is what it looks like in different lighting :)

Until next time.

Fun with Filters: What's this a picture of?

It's time for a Fun with Filters Guessing Game Edition. This time around I am using an app called Photo FX, which I just purchased last week. It has many filters you can play with and if you've seen my Instagram, you'll see I've been having some fun with it :)

Getting to the point:

Can you guess what this is a picture of??

Have an answer?

Don't cheat.

If you guessed're wrong. Thanks for playing, but better luck next time! :)

What's your final answer?

The answer is: ice cream in a 4 cup holder!

The filter used on the picture below was a brush strokes artsy filter from the photo fx app.

Hoping this one was more of a thinker than my last Guess The Picture post.

Have a good one :)

Review: Lucerne Vanilla Mini Ice Cream Sundae Cones

The other day, I found myself at Vons with a craving for Sundae Cones or other wise known as Drumsticks! I was looking at well known brands and I felt I wanted more for my money. My sister pointed out this Lucerne brand, which I've never heard of. However, their prices seemed more fair and the box included more cones. I decided, well, whats the harm in trying.

This is the verdict: I liked them and they are such cute small cones! Very adorable, so they would be a great treat for a big group of people on warm sunny day. The vanilla ice cream, the nuts, the chocolate, and the cones all had a good taste. I've never tried any products from this brand, but after tasting these sundae cones, I am more inclined to try other of their goodies. I recommend it, and I hope if you grab a box, that you like it too!

Review: Pizza Hut's Tuscani Pasta - Creamy Chicken Alfredo

Hi there Dear friends,
Today I bring you a food review that I just had to share! I feel I must share this with you because I was pleasantly surprised on how good this was. It's Pizza Hut's Tuscani Pasta in Creamy Chicken Alfredo. I have personally never tried these pastas, so I was skeptical. However, on this particular day  was at Targe and was starving because I had not eaten all morning. Thus, I decided to try this pasta.

I am happy to report that, yes, this is very creamy. It also has a good amount of chicken in it, which makes it that more filling. The top is somewhat crusty and when you get past it, its where the sauciness comes to play. The taste of the actual Alfredo sauce is also very flavorful and delicious.

They say that when you are extremely hungry, everything tastes good. BUT, I can tell you that to me this creamy pasta was very delicious and definitely would recommended. So, if one sad day, you find yourself at Target with an empty stomach, do not hesitate in trying this dish.

Below are some pictures to make you hungry. You're welcome.
Have a good one! :)

San Francisco Road Trip in Pictures

Bonjour mes amis!

This April (2015), I took a weekend road trip to San Francisco, California. If you're driving there from Los Angeles, it will take about 5-6 hours to get there. The road is mostly straight, with some hills. It's a fun road trip because you get to see other parts of California that are different from the city scape of LA. Also, when you're about an hour away from arriving, you get to see small fruit shops from people that actually grow them. It's always a fun sight to see.

Our road trip started on a Friday morning. We arrived to our hotel in Fishermans Wharf. It was great because you were at walking distance from the famous Pier 39, as well as other shops and restaurants. After it was the Golden Gate bridge time and a stop at the Ghirardeili Square for a yummy treat. With this treat we concluded our San Fran Trip. However, on our road back home we stopped by GOOGLE, which is by San Jose, California! I am a big fan of our dear friend Google and it was so much fun seeing where the action happens. I am making our visit to Google a separate blog post because it would be way to many pictures for one post. Also, because Google is in San Jose and not San Fran :) Make sure you read that post to see the cute Google bikes, loved them.

Here are the pics I took of our short trip:

The road.

We arrived!

First restaurant we ate at. I got lasagna and a strawberry margarita, both very yummy:)

Then we did some walking.

Sourdough bread! Its everywhere.

You can see Pier 39 in the distance.

Don't let the sun fool you, it was really cold in the evening.

Breakfast the next day at Eagle Cafe. So good.

I spy with my little eye, the Golden Gate Bridge!
